Booming Michigan Marijuana Market Nears $1 Billion in Sales
As New Cannabis Ventures detailed in a recent article, legal marijuana sales in Michigan increased sharply in December 2020. The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency reported total combined medical and adult-use cannabis sales reached $101 million last month. December was a record month for Michigan’s adult-use market as sales spiked 12% to $61.6 million. Medical sales climbed 6.2% coming in at $39.6 million.
In 2020, Michigan generated combined cannabis revenue of $984.6 million, with medical and adult-use sales totalling $474 million and $510.7 million, respectively.
RWB says it expects the full launch of High Times branded products in Michigan to include over 30 unique SKUs and be completed in Q1 2021. The company is planning to add various new prerolls, vapes and edibles to the six strains of packaged flower currently on the market.
