More stars are making their love cannabis well known, as they have been launching their brands throughout the course of 2019. On Tuesday, April 30th, the Hall of Flowers, an annual trade show that features the top cannabis brands in the world had some great surprises for marijuana enthusiasts. Among the lines, Rapper and Grammy award winner, Post Malone’s new brand Shaboink brought in a lot of attention. Shaboink aims to focus on premium lines of flowers and vapes.
Other notable brand launches included “Hollyweed” created by the infamous L.A street artist Jesushands. Jesushands drew the name inspiration from his well-known prank, where he reconfigured the Hollywood sign to read “Hollyweed” on new years day 2017. The line offers very similar products such as gummies, vape pens, and other edibles. The famous Hollywood jeweler, Alex Todd, who is well known for creating custom timepieces for Jay Z, also launched his line called “Saucey Extracts.” The collection stands out as a handcrafted collection of cannabis batches and cartridges. Well known Rapper “The Game” also hit the scene as he unveiled his line of premium flower called – Trees by Game.
The constant unveiling of new lines leaves one to wonder which of these brands will really stand the test of time and which are short term money grabs. Overall the growing trend of upscale and mainstream brands adds to the industry’s diverse and wide selection. Popular brands like Dosist continue to dominate in LA and Venice Beach, and large upscale retailers such as Barneys NYC have begun launching luxury cannabis shops across New York City. “The High End” cannabis shops have begun to roll out premium THC & CBD infused wellness and beauty products, to help ease the pain after a long day in heels and makeup. As we continue to watch the industry evolve there is definitely no shortage of new and creative brands that speak to all avenues of cannabis enthusiasts.
