Aphria Diamond Adds 140,000 kgs Boosting Aphria’s Total Annual Production Capacity to 255,000 kgs
Aphria (TSX: APHA) (NYSE: APHA) announced today it has received its Health Canada cultivation licence for the company’s 1.3 million sq ft Aphria Diamond greenhouse facility in Leamington, Ontario. The newly licenced Aphria Diamond facility is the company’s second in Leamington and will add 140,000 kgs in annual production capacity boosting Aphria’s total annual growing capacity to 255,000 kgs. Aphria Diamond in addition to the company’s Aphria One and Broken Coast facilities bring the company’s total cultivation space to over 2.4 million sq ft.

Reaching industry-leading production levels coinciding with the expansion into new categories and new opportunities for cannabis in Canada and around the world is a transformative moment for Aphria Inc,” stated Aphria Interim CEO Irwin D. Simon.
The Canadian licensed producer (LP) owns a 51% stake in its subsidiary Aphria Diamond and is partnered with multi-generational commercial greenhouse experts Double Diamond. The Aphria Diamond facility sits on a 100-acre campus and the new greenhouse consists of 1.3 million sq ft which the company has retrofitted to grow cannabis.
The same industrial-scale automation technology featured in Aphria One’s Part IV and V expansions is also highlighted at the new Aphria Diamond greenhouse.

Aphria’s automated technology is designed to deal with the following greenhouse functions:
- Cultivation
- Transplanting cuttings
- Transporting plants through harvesting
- De-budding and trimming
- Drying and curing
- Waste disposal

Shares of APHA on the TSX closed trading today at $6.73, down 1.2% on the day.
